“The feat Songbuster accomplishes at every performance- creating an entirely new musical on the spot off an audience suggestion- is remarkable.”
-My Entertainment World
After recent smash hit runs at JUST FOR LAUGHS, TORONTO FRINGE, BIG CITY IMPROV FESTIVAL, and BAD DOG THEATRE, Tweed & Company Theatre is thrilled to be bringing SONGBUSTER: A FULLY IMPROVISED MUSICAL to the Tweed Winter Carnival!
6 musical theatre performers set out to create their own legendary musical. Will it turn into a Little Shop of Horrors? Will they Grease the audience? Will the sun come out tomorrow for this group? Your suggestions help drive the creation of a never-seen-before-and-never-seen-again musical! Fast paced, ridiculous and always entertaining, the cast is endlessly ambitious – creating an hour long musical from a series of suggestions provided by the audience. Not only do they create the music from thin air, but they also create a world full of engaging characters and captivating stories. With numerous musical credits to the casts’ name (Evil Dead! The Musical, Night of the Living Dead Live, Dee Schnider’s Twisted Christmas, Cannibal The Musical, Rent) and 40+ years of improv experience between them, the cast of Songbuster have a strong history of entertaining audiences with music and comedy. Don’t miss this wildly entertaining, always hilarious, and much sought after production in this one day only presentation in Tweed!
